Contract waterjet cutting in Milan

Waterjet cutting, also called water cutting, separates the material with an ultra-high-pressure jet of pure water or water mixed with abrasive. It does not heat the part: no burns, no warping, no heat-affected zones, and clean edges straight away.

We cut on a contract basis for companies, craftsmen, architecture studios and agencies, even for a single part or a prototype. Cutting takes place in our workshop in Lacchiarella, south of Milan, on a 3-axis machine with a 4-metre working area and thicknesses up to 45 mm.

Send us the file (DXF, DWG or PDF) or a sketch with the measurements: we check material, thickness and tolerances and give you price and lead time.

Materials we cut

  • Metals – Steel, stainless steel and aluminium: sharp profiles with no heat burrs.
  • Acrylic and plastics – Clean edges, with no melting or stress in the material.
  • Glass – Shapes and holes that other methods would risk cracking the sheet on.
  • Stone and marble – Inlays, cladding and custom decorations.
  • Rubber and gaskets – Precise shapes even on soft, flexible materials.
  • Composites and technical materials – Sandwich panels and laminates, with no heat delamination.
Why Microspot®

The added value of the service

We work alongside creative and technical teams with an end-to-end approach, ensuring consistency from concept through prototyping to delivery.

Material versatility

We cut metals, glass, stone, rubber, composites and technical materials without distortion or heat-affected zones.

Complex geometries

Three numerically controlled axes for precise profiles, complex shapes and custom interlocking joints.

Premium finish

Custom parameters ensure surfaces ready for painting, assembly or mechanical fitting.

What we can do

  • Abrasive and pure waterjet cutting on materials up to 45 mm
  • Optimised nesting to reduce waste and production times
  • CAM control integrated with Microspot®’s design workflows
  • Batch traceability and quality reports for every job

Our method

Frequently asked questions: waterjet cutting

What materials can be waterjet cut?

With pure or abrasive waterjet cutting we process metal, glass, stone, rubber, acrylic, composites and technical materials, with no distortion or heat-affected zones.

What thickness and size can you cut?

We cut materials up to 45 mm thick, with a working area of up to 4 metres and a 3-axis waterjet system for shapes, joints and complex geometries.

Do you offer contract waterjet cutting, even for single parts?

Yes: we work on a contract basis for companies, craftsmen, studios and agencies, from a single part or prototype to small runs. Send us files or measurements and we will give you price and lead time.

What files do you need for a waterjet cutting request?

We import 2D and 3D files and review them together with material, thicknesses and tolerances to plan the cut. You can send them after your first contact or by emailing info@microspot.it.

Where is your waterjet cutting department?

All cutting is done in-house at the Microspot® workshop, Via del Lavoro 28, Lacchiarella (MI), just south of Milan.
